Back in 2015, I joined forces with Ken Rich to put together a selection of tunes that I’d been performing in New York clubs. I knew Ken’s spot, Grand Street Recording, would be the perfect place to create this EP, thanks to its proximity, vibe, equipment, and the talented engineer, Jake Lummus. To bring the songs to life, we called in some of the heavy hitters from the NY/US scene, including Chris Morrissey on bass and Dan Rieser on drums, while vocal layers were added by the incredibly talented Shelley Harland and Melissa Gonzalez.
The EP tracks round out the first 15 years of my time in the city, where Lower East Side clubs like Rockwood Music Hall, Arlenes Grocery, and The Mercury Lounge were, and still are, thriving.
